The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and Consociates’ mission is to love God and dear neighbor without distinction.

Through its ministries, the Sisters and Consociates strive to foster the common good through advocacy, creative arts, education, healthcare, social service, and spirituality. These ministries were founded by and continue to be supported by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Paul Province working with Consociates and Partners in Mission (staff, volunteers and friends).

Today in St. Paul you will see Sisters of St. Joseph and Consociates at the State Capitol advocating for the social justice issues of our times: racial justice, sex trafficking, policy for those with disabilities, healthcare reform and economic and health disparities. You will see them protesting peacefully on the Marshall Street bridge between the two cities on matters that affect our country’s foreign policies. They have operated St. Mary’s Health Clinics since the later 1980’s, providing health care to those who are under or uninsured. They are the founders of St. Catherine University, and founded and staffed numerous Catholic schools in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The CSJ Consociates (non-vowed members of their community) partner with the Sisters on many of the Sisters ministries.

Since the Sisters’ ministries are every facet of our everyday life, what better opportunity to reimagine how the ministries may serve more community members in these dynamic and changing times? The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, with the support of Fox Advancement, are paving the way to impact the lives of 250,000 individuals and families through a comprehensive assessment and fundraising initiative. The Sisters of St. Joseph are looking toward the future and issuing a call to action within our community and beyond!
