Where to begin…

Morgan Zehner, Lead Consultant & Strategist

I am very grateful to have landed at Fox Advancement. The firm is a perfect match for my personal and professional interests.

1) Mission

At the end of the day, I strive to be of service. The mission-driven clients that Fox Advancement serves are on the front lines of improving people’s lives and making a better world. This is what drives me. Community-based work sparks my curiosity, and always has. Volunteerism has been part of my life as long as I can remember, intersecting with a wide spectrum of causes.   Volunteerism even earned me a position (Executive Director!) as one of my first jobs out of college.

2) Customer Service

I love customer service. Since my very first job at a pizza shop, providing exceptional service and value were incredible motivators. Consulting, not dissimilar to pizza, is an industry that demands immediate and ongoing client satisfaction, though with fewer toppings. My 15 years in consulting has lead to partnerships with universities, medical centers, and international NGOs on major campaigns while at Bentz Whaley Flessner, as well as start-ups and small businesses as a sole practitioner.

 3) Culture

Fox Advancement’s culture is still evolving. We have a young team  that is still growing and committed to strengthening our community, one organization at time. Through my work on the board of directors for the Lake Street Council and SB Works, I am drawn to the passion, flexibility and opportunity of community-focused and community-rooted organizations.

I am excited to join Fox Advancement as a Lead Consultant & Strategist. In addition to serving organizations directly on strategy and fundraising engagements, I will be helping to build the analytical and quantitative capabilities of the firm, deepening our engagement with nonprofit leaders, and helping the firm identify opportunities for growth.
