Kathleen’s work focuses on strengthening clients’ prospect identification, research, management, and tracking systems. Recent clients include Carthage, Carleton, and St. Olaf colleges, Nebraska Wesleyan and St. Scholastica Universities, the Blake School, and St. Paul Academy/Summit School.
Prior to her retirement from Carleton College in February 2008, she held various management positions in the Development Office during her 25-year tenure at the college. As Director of Development Services, she oversaw all gift accounting, bio information, alumni/development systems, stewardship and prospect research functions. She also served as Director of Prospect Research for a number of years and is considered a leader in that field.
Kathleen previously was an Associate at Bentz Whaley Flessner and a partner in Foley/Waltman Associates. One of the founders of APRA (Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement), Kathleen won the APRA Service Award in 1994 and the APRA Writing Award in 1991. She has been a frequent speaker for APRA as well as CASE, NSFRE and the BSR User Group.
